Move Forward with Vein Treatment in Our Aurora or St. Charles, IL Clinic
Choosing the best vein doctor to treat your veins can be a challenging problem. The variety of treatment methods available can be confusing, sometimes even to physicians. It is important to be aware that any physician can perform some treatments, such as injections, but vein surgery treatments can only be offered by surgeons.
The physicians of AmeriVein are board certified general surgeons with a special interest in vein disease. As surgeons, we are uniquely qualified to provide the full spectrum of treatment options and can choose the ideal treatment for your vein condition.
Since the treatment of vein disease is a specialized, evolving field, it is important to find a vein specialist who is experienced and is familiar with the current trends. The founders of AmeriVein invented the TriVex system, the revolutionary minimally invasive method for the removal of varicose veins. AmeriVein physicians are actively training physicians nationally and internationally on this new technique. The physicians at AmeriVein have performed thousands of procedures and have more experience with this technique than anyone in the world. AmeriVein physicians are also extremely skilled with the techniques and treatments of other vein disorders, such as spider vein treatment.
While knowledge and experience are critical for the successful treatment of spider veins and other vein diseases, we at AmeriVein pride ourselves on our warm personal touch, friendly atmosphere, and attention to detail with which we treat our patients.

What to Expect
On your initial consultation, you will meet with the surgeon for review of your medical condition, medications and allergies, and a physical examination. Your physician will explain your condition and answer any of your questions.
If the surgeon feels it is indicated, you will be scheduled for a diagnostic ultrasound. During your diagnostic ultrasound, the vascular technologist will examine your legs looking for faulty valves and blood clots. The test is painless and is usually completed in 30 minutes.
After your diagnostic ultrasound, you will again meet with the surgeon to discuss the results and formulate a plan to treat your veins. If necessary, you will be custom fit for prescription compression stockings.
If pre-certification is required by your health insurance company we provide that service for you. After that is completed your procedure will be scheduled.
The treatment of spider veins and reticular veins begins after the treatment of varicose veins is completed. Tumescent Enhanced Sclerotherapy (TES®), laser, or a combination of the two will be performed as determined by your physician.
For your comfort and privacy, we recommend you bring shorts to each office visit.
